IndiGo Airlines will begin flights from Sikkim’s Pakyong Airport in October, connecting it to Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, which is expected to boost tourism. Discussions are ongoing with Blade Air and Jetwing for further services, with Jetwing planning to start operations in November. Buddha Air also seeks to launch daily flights from Kathmandu. These new services align with the Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme, enhancing accessibility to Sikkim and benefiting the local economy.
