Hatta is an exclave of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, soaring in the Hajar Mountains. History of Hatta

Formerly known as Hajarain, Hatta became a dependency of Dubai during Hasher Bin Maktoum's rule after the Omani Sultan Turni Bin Said transferred the region, finding himself unable to protect it against the Na'im of Buraimi, who had settled abutting Masfout. The village was still called Hajarain as lately as 1906.

The old village of Hatta comprises two famous military towers from the 1880s, a fort from 1896 and the Jumma mosque, which was constructed in 1780 and is the oldest building in Hatta. Accessibility to Hatta

Getting to Hatta requires a journey of around 90 minutes by car from Dubai and the Sharjah-Kalba route is typically the fastest. From Abu Dhabi, you are looking at a two-and-a-half-hour road trip. If you are coming by public transport means, you need to get to Sabkha Bus Station in Dubai to take the E16 bus. The bus takes over two hours to reach Hatta.
